1. Scope of application

This policy applies to all persons taking photographs, audio and video recordings within the exhibition spaces, in the external areas of the complex and in museum properties managed by the institution.

2. Types of filming

• Personal non-commercial filming: permitted for personal use and sharing on social networks, provided they do not disturb visits, do not harm the protection of collections and do not violate third-party rights.
• Editorial / press filming: permitted upon notification to the Museum and, if requested, with written authorization from the press office.
• Commercial and professional filming: (photography services, advertising shoots, film productions) subject to prior authorization and to economic and insurance conditions established by the Museum.

3. Prohibitions and limits

• The use of flash, tripods or professional equipment in exhibition halls is prohibited when they may damage works or obstruct other visitors. Any exceptions will be indicated and authorized by staff.
• It is not permitted to remove, touch or approach works beyond the protection limits provided.
• Capturing images that violate the privacy of non-consenting visitors, particularly minors, is prohibited. For photographs depicting minors, parental or guardian consent must be obtained.
• Filming is not allowed in areas indicated as restricted by Museum staff or by appropriate signage.

4. Copyright and use of materials

Images and recordings made by visitors for personal use remain the property of the author. With publication on public media (press, web, social, promotional material) the following must be respected:

• For works protected by copyright on display (artworks, reproductions, historical documents), commercial use of images may be subject to licensing obligations by rights holders.
• When possible, indicate the source and credit: Photo: Armungia Museum / Author Name.
• The Museum reserves the right to request removal of images that harm the dignity of individuals, the reputation of the Museum or that are used in contexts contrary to institutional ethics.

5. Authorization procedure

For editorial or commercial filming, prior authorization is required by communicating:

1. Purpose of filming (editorial, promotional, advertising, documentary, etc.).
2. Requested date and time.
3. Number and names of technical staff involved and equipment planned.
4. Any requests for temporary closure of areas or staff assistance.

Requests should be sent to the competent office of the Museum; authorization may be subject to payment of a fee and provision of an insurance policy covering any damages.

6. Privacy and data processing

Images depicting recognizable persons constitute personal data. Those carrying out filming are required to:

• Obtain consent where necessary (especially for minors).
• Use materials in compliance with applicable regulations on personal data protection.

The Museum, should it receive material provided by third parties for institutional use, will process data in accordance with its privacy notice available upon request.

7. Conservation and archive

The Museum may request a copy of images taken during authorized activities for documentation and archiving purposes. Any acquisition will be regulated by written agreement that defines usage rights, duration and attribution.

8. Liability

Those carrying out filming are responsible for compliance with this policy and for any damage to works or structures of the Museum. The Museum declines responsibility for damage to persons or equipment caused by unauthorized filming activities.
